As a building standing on a slope, I didn't want to create a land of volcanic ash soil, so the pillars that support the floating board deck and the roof are integrated round pillars, and the pillars are attached diagonally to expose the structure. planned. I was surprised to find the same structural expression on the top floor of the exterior of the National Stadium, which was built 20 years later.

In front of the photo is the slope that leads down to Genki-no-Mori. I took great care to hang it up to the roof, but after the elevator was built, no one would pass.

This is an elevator facility for Aso Farm Village guests who go through an underground tunnel from the guest parking lot on the other side of the prefectural road to the accommodation due to the lack of parking spaces and night crime prevention. It took some time to get permission from the prefectural government, but I don't know of any private sector digging an underground tunnel on a prefectural road. We are experimenting with a simple large roof using natural wooden pillars. The roof beams form a triangle and are constructed without braces. About 25 years later, I found the same structure on the roof of Takanawa Gateway Station.
