This is an extension project for a large mansion. When viewed from the road, the building is three stories high, but consideration has been given not to overwhelm the street. Seen from the other side, it is a two-story building.

The back of the lattice door is a garage, and the lattice door opens automatically. The back of the garage is an underground storage warehouse. The fence on the right is a retaining wall that holds down the bank of the house next door.

The summer shoji screens in the storage shelf were purchased by the owner from an antique store, but in the end, they were not all the same, so I arranged them with some workmanship. The black walls and red ceiling are painted with ink.

Tatami is a space for organizing kimonos and doing handwork such as kimono embroidery. All tatami parts are electrically lifted and stored under the floor.
